Lykke Li returns with her fifth studio album EYEYE. The LP is an eight track story about lust, attraction, attachment, and rejection; the landscape of love. The songs are inhabited by moving images that neither start nor end. Each film functions as a visual loop, concise as a haiku, yet continuing in perpetuity. The result is a somatic, repetitious experience. Compounding chapters between a dream and reality.

sad to hear that. i personally think she's gotten better with each album, but was semi-skeptical upon hearing the singles.

It'd be really hard for me to realistically rank the first 4 albums, I really love them all for different reasons

finally spinning this. there's something unique about this album, but i agree that it's not as engaging of a listen as her past stuff.

I enjoyed it. Definitely understand if people find it boring though

it's definitely well-put together, just didn't strike me as quickly as her older stuff. excited to listen again though!

  15. Yeah, this album isn’t really doing anything for me. Could see it hitting more in the right mood, but right now it just feels like it’s missing something. You Don’t Go Away is pretty nice though

    Loved the last record

She released an umm, backwards version of the album?
