they lost me on the last one, never felt any desire to return to it. bummer, especially since I really liked Devil
Felt the same way when it first came out and few a few months after but I revisited it recently and really enjoyed it.
Agree. Illuminate is a great record, but this December is far ahead of it. It's actually the best thing this band ever put out, with the best line up.
I got lost on PIG. It didn't have the diversity I was looking for out of them and I never really returned to it. Really like Devil and Run Wild though.
nice to see some December love. that album was super underrated and still is. The title track/closer is among their best imo. Her and Haley is also a stellar track
This december is awesome but really dark for this band that at points it doesnt even really sound like lydia
Promise you will go down my neck. Just like those pills and your cigarette. So as my fingers curl, I move my lips just so you won't have to. Damnit you clever girl, your style is keeping us from sleep like god damn, that song is amazing
Illuminate is my favorite with Devil as a close second. Never was able to get into This December for whatever reason though.
yeah the way Leighton sings that song with such an intensity is what makes it for me. That whole song is just incredible. Its borderline heavy for a Lydia song.
me too. This Is Twice Now also has that feel to it. I really really love Illuminate and This December so much. Super underrated albums. I hope you enjoy that snap of me jamming to December lol
I started with This December, so Illuminate felt like the next natural step, even Assailants felt true to form. Then PIG, Devil, and Run Wild came out and THOSE didn't feel like Lydia to me.
yes alex listen to illuminate and this december theyre great indie rock albums, kindve in the same vein as Copeland/early Death Cab
