I didn't know this was a thing until this morning, crazy days, feels good to be a part of something bigger than myself~ welp, haven't heard Unites or Lost, thx
i hated wu lyf the first time i listened but its grown on me a bit since mostly because of how much i like this project, i love "we bros" now lament is one of my favorite songs of the last few years tbh!
so WU LYF are one of my favourite bands ever at this point so to no surprise this is probably my most anticipated album next to Hotelier this year. Every song released so far has been incredible, but I&I is just something else. He played a couple unheard songs on a radio show last night that I gotta to hear and they were on par with everything they've released so far. This is gonna be something special. Having a female vocalist to play off of his voice add's a ton of dynamic to his sound.
i guess im going for the triple post here but ... this album is tremendous. Pretty much every song has at least one moment that leaves me completely breathless. It hits emotional highs that WU LYF could of never possible of hit.
i should of prefaced that with it didnt leak, I just got an early copy of it. I have about an essay of thoughts on this album already and I was gonna wait till it was actually released before posting about but I had to just say something (im losing my mind at how good this is right now) ... sorry. All Ill say is that I went into this thinking it was gonna be my AOTY and somehow my expectations were blown completely out of the water still. New version of Lament might just be the pinnacle of all music.
I love how thematically/lyrically $oro is the logical extension of the ideas explored in WU LYF but musically its the polar opposite.
the String section as the end of "Loyalty" gets me every time. That melody he sings on top of it is amazing.
