I’d heard of the track but I’m not really one for concert footage for a first listen of new songs. And I haven’t seen her live since the week Historian came out haha Pretty song though. Maybe I’m wrong, but this strikes me as more of a lil hype builder for the Lucy heads before she drops a more traditional single with an album announcement and video
Nice song! Haven’t taken the lyrics in deeply yet. Feels like she took some sonic cues from Phoebe’s last record, excited for her to get loud again.
Surprised by how somber this track was but the lyrics and melodies were fantastic. I agree, this sounds like a hype track before a proper single, but I'm on board.
Yep! I finally got a chance to walk around solo and put it on without distractions. Gutting and genius storytelling.
Y'all should listen to Angie McMahon's debut album "Salt" from 2019. It's VERY MUCH Lucy inspired, (they sound very similar) and it's great. "Pasta" has some intense Lucy vibes going on and it's awesome
Also tour with Bachelor (Jay Som + Palehound’s new band) happening in September. A Dallas date just got announced. https://fb.me/e/1oXnOYgzE
"Dacus’s boygenius bandmates, Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker sang a loving chorus on Please Stay and Going Going Gone while each recorded solo songs during the same session." Oh fuuuuuuck
