I cried from when the grandma said "Not everyone will accept him, but he seems to find the good ones" til the end
My son who is almost 2 years old absolutely loved it. Couldn't take his eyes off it. I enjoyed it as well. Great success.
Yeah I felt the story was very easy to understand, so I could see how to young children this movie would be a blast
While watching it I was like "ehhh this is kinda Mid tier Pixar" but thinking back to it, its actually a lot better than myself and many others are giving credit to it. It's low stakes vibe really works here. Reminds me of the more casual Miyazaki films like Ponyo, Porco Rosso or Kiki's Delivery Service, which are all fantastic films. It might not be hitting those emotional highs of Pixar's best work, but this is something new for them in many ways. You can only aggressively push the "here's the scene where you are going to cry uncontrollably" button so many times in a row
This was incredibly wholesome. My favorite part was when Giulia’s dad defended them at the race. I don’t have a Pixar ranking, but I recommend the film.
It’s currently sitting #10 for me, although I somehow haven’t seen Coco, Inside Out and Toy Story 4 so I’m not expecting that to last.
Its been five hours since you made I hope you've spent at least two of them watching Coco If not there is still time left in the day. Go watch Coco
Coco is quite possibly my #1 movie period. Comparing stuff across genres is hard so I can't flat out call it my favorite. But there aren't any movies I like more than it.
we just finished and it’s middle of the road Pixar for me as a 33 year old but I could def see like 7 year olds lovvvving this. Very much more “cute” and else adult-aimed stuff I feel like than what we’re used to with Pixar
