they are probably the most consistently mindblowing modern musicians this side of autechre

 

This is feeling like a more accessible counterpart to double negative so far. Digging it. Hey is the standout for me

 

I was also thinking that this is like a Double Negative that you can listen to on more occasions

 

This is my first exposure to Low and wowowow.

Is Double Negative the obvious next one to check out before diving into this huge catalog?

Probably, yeah, but that one is a bit more abrasive imo. The stuff before doesn’t really sound like this, and their first few records are about the furthest you can get from this—but they’re still good

Yeah, this is an amazing album. And unbelievably it even points to new places they could go on the next one.

I don’t often feel an overwhelming swelling of emotions when listening to music anymore, but I did when I heard Hey for the first time last night

those vocals are inspiring
