This national treasure / night at the museum / da vinci code episode was pretty solid

 

It did feel like Indiana Jones. Not a complaint.

Haven’t watched any of this since episode one. The paranormal/supernatural elements felt jarring and a questionable juxtaposition to the (very real) threat of segregation-era racism—cheapening the experience a bit for me. Has this gotten any better/been explored in the show at all since then?

 

Sounds to me like this just isn't for you.

The mixing of genres has been fantastic from the start, in my opinion.

Bummer. I’ll give the next episode or two a watch just in case I like them. Guess I was expecting something a little more subtle.

 

I mean this has never even tried to market or describe itself as subtle.

 

I didn’t want to know too much going into it.

 

This is so good. Loved this Spielbergian adventure episode. It's super cool how each episode has explored a different horror subgenre. I didn't really get the structure of the show until this episode. Kind of a pulp horror of the week, while still advancing the overarching narrative.

 

What a great episode! I was really wanting a Ruby focused episode, and we got it. Body horror always does something to me. Also, loved seeing Monèt X Change!

 

the music on this show could be distracting so it was nice showing how Tutti Frutti had to be sanitized and gentrified to appeal to white audiences

 

Show is still killing it.

 

Are we assuming the real William’s body is in Christina’s basement? Cause that’s my theory.

 

this show is all over the place, but it's been solid enough that i'm excited to see how it all comes together and how they stick the landing

 

tonight may have been my favorite episode, they did a really good job showing how people fight wars for countries that don't give a fuck about them

I was reeeeeeal close to giving up on this show after thinking the first couple eps were just okay and the last few were trash. This episode was very very good though. By far the best character they’ve introduced up to this point. Interested to see if she comes back, and in what way.

 

I’m enjoying this show but it’s definitely all over the place.

 

Wild that Jamie Chung got her start as a cast member on the Real World Lol

 

The latest episode was fantastic. I expect to see her again.

 

I hope so.
