This was great, and wow, HBO is definitely not afraid to invest in some good CGI

 

If anyone has read the book, curious what your thoughts are in this first episode vs the book. Does it seem pretty faithful so far?

 

This dragged in the middle for me but I will keep watching

 

I agree it dragged slightly but that ending was dope!

 

Beginning and end made it worth watching. Curious to see where it goes.

 

I didn't think this dragged at all...interesting to hear that from some of you guys.

 

Yeah, no drag for me either. It was a brilliant period piece with supernatural elements. The horror was there mostly in the form of the racism, and that was one of the most terrifying parts. Misha really excels in this genre.

 

Yeah zero complaints about the episode

 

This was great and fun, excited for next episode. Sometimes supernatural stuff can feel cheap but I enjoyed this and I have a feeling this will dig into the lore as it goes on.

That felt like they tried to cram an entire season into a single episode.

Tic telling all the clan members to get the fuck out was so good

 

I didn't love this one as much as the first - felt a bit rushed. But still enjoying the show

Episode 2 was crazy!

 

God damn, that ending was sad.

 

That episode felt overstuffed.

 

Perfect song for that scene, too. It’s still so wild seeing and hearing Leon everywhere these days. Just a few years ago he was a dishwasher and service industry dude who would blow us away at karaoke and backyards in our neighborhood. Now the dude is on top of the world. Crazy.
