Gus and Mickey are equally shitty imo, Mickey’s negative qualities reveal themselves less and less as the show goes on but when she’s bad it’s like.... really bad
Its very frustrating that they gave Randy some hope, or even minor hints at potential, but the series just ends with him at his lowest and most pathetic basically. Also I just love Mitch so I'm biased but Randy is great, just weird choices for him in the finale when they could've gave him some closure. Randy needed an arc.
Me before the season: It's probably good that this is ending. Don't want them to drag it out too much Me after an entire season of Gus and Mickey being a (mostly) functioning healthy couple: NO I WANT ALL THE SEASONS
Are we 100 percent sure that they knew it was ending when they made this season. Like maybe they gave an ending that was open to go either way? Idk I liked the ending a ton but randy is my only issue.. basdially he just ended up being a really sad person in a rough situation.
It would be less believable if Randy suddenly got his shit together and had a happy ending. He's a loser. He'll always be a loser. He was happy enough to just sit next to Truman and sip his margarita at the end of it all. He's the second best character behind Bertie
Season 3 was great. Filled with moments that made me extremely uncomfortable, as always. The wedding one in particular with Vanessa.
Perfect ending to a fantastic series. The Dustin thing bothered me a little at first, but not enough to ruin how I happy I was with everything else, and now I've rationalized it in my head lol. Final song/shot had me tearing up. Bertie's Birthday ep and the wedding ep were series highlights, and Bertie's arc with Chris was extremely satisfying. also Randy sucking is the point. Mike Mitchell is great
Same. I get that we aren't really suppose to like the characters but I dislike his character and his whole arc way more than anyone else .
Agreed. I think anybody is capable of being upset and accidentally being an asshole about it from time to time, but he just never seems to acknowledge it in himself and never really owns up to it after the fact. I just can't believe how many times Gus doesn't say "I'm sorry". Like, in that episode, Mickey apologizes to him, and instead of saying "I'm sorry, too, I was being a dick about it", he just shrugs it off and goes "it's okay" or whatever. The only apology from him I can think of in recent memory is when he started listing to his friends why they "owe him" to convince them to stay and film, before stopping himself and realizing he was being a jerk about it. But then, like an episode later, he's a dick to his friend for not having a spare memory card and doesn't apologize for that.
Yeah Gus is shitty, I don’t like the recurring theme of everyone at work hating him and his screwing up of every opportunity with how they resolve that in the finale. It doesn’t track.
So fucking happy Rich Fulcher was in this. He has the funniest episode of Drunk History -- the Lincoln Lawyer one.
