There were a lot of loose ends here, Dustin, Brett Gelman, Randy could maybe become a cook? that storyline felt like it had another episode to go, his speech was like where Apatow movies always go right before the loser gets their shit together. Last song/shot was nice, but yeah I feel like there should've been more. Glad they didn't spend too much time with Arya stuff, low points of the series, and seeing Sean and Fran and Drew Tarver was nice. It was fine, and I get the loose kind of like "this is what real life is like" thing is a style and can be satisfying in a lot of ways, but it also kind of just felt like stuff happening with no direction at some points. Also my critique of This is 40, so some shit don't change. At least no one was trying to fuck Paul Rust this season, but he did write a lot of stuff about how good he is at fucking.
Really wish we could get one more season, didnt realize how much I liked all these characters until I realized I wouldn't get anymore stories with them Definitely wanted at least one more episode following up with how they manage their new situation. But i liked the way they handled their relationship issues with honesty and communication. Ive had that exact conversation of "I tell you how I feel, you do the same, theres nothing we cant get through" several times and it always does seem like the cracked code. They'll certainly have their issues after this, but theyve shown us that they're going to put the work in
I'm pretty bummed this the last season. I know this show has its flaws and majority of the characters are horrible, horrible people but I honestly love(heh) it.
Sorry, thought it was open discussion. I usually stay out of threads until I'm caught up, guess I shouldn't assume everyone else is the same way. Didn't mean to ruin it for anybody
Great season, bummed it's done. Really didn't feel like a SERIES finale, they could easily take this another season or so. The entire scene with Bertie finding Randy living in his car and Randy's haunted apartment was so fucking good.
Nah you're totally good, it's my bad! I should know better than to read in these threads when I haven't finished up yet, lol I'm not typically someone to care about spoilers anyways
I personally think threads should use spoiler tags for at least the first week of a TV show, Like Oh how awesome was it it in episode 3 when poor randy
Yeah I mentioned it in the rules thread, too, it makes zero sense to me that spoiler tags aren't necessary once the film or show has come out. What is there to spoil before it has even released? Casting and rumors?
I’m also in favor of spoilers but have seen conversations on here and AP about them get kinda nasty, so once the rule was actually fianlized about spoiler tags I figured I’d just go with the grain. I personally don’t think they disrupt conversation or whatever like others say they do
Can't believe Randy murders everyone in episode 11 and 12 is just funerals and his trial, weird choice
I went through this show way too quick. I give the final season a 6.5-7/10, but I'm gonna miss the writing. Not many great sitcoms/half hour comedies nowadays.
