Is this good?

 

I’d say yes.

 

Not what I expected (that’s on me) and the script was lacking at times, not sure how I feel about the ending still. But the leads are great and I definitely felt some of the vibes being a huge neo-noir/genre film/thriller fan. I guess with the hype I personally had, I’d say a little letdown. Still excited for Rose Glass’ career.

 

Yea. It’s definitely not a perfect movie. Conventional in spots, underwritten in spots. But there’s a lot to love.

What a fucking picture. I love the movies.

 

Good not great but a fun time!

 

No one jacked themselves to sleep though so I feel like I didn’t get the full experience.

 

The more I think about this, the more sure I am that this is the current movie to beat for my favorite of the year.

If this were the old internet, my like MySpace or whatever would say, idk, “tim lies bleeding” or some shit.

 

If I saw this at home I probably would have hated it. Luckily I saw it late last night at a sold out showing surrounded almost entirely by lesbians who were hooting and hollering at the sex scenes, retching at the gore, and generally having an incredible time. The woman next to me stood up and shouted HOW DID SHE GET SO BIG at the climax. It was incredibly fun.

 

Hating this under any circumstances is boring af. But, I’m thrilled that you had such a dope experience.

My showing was fairly chill, but some college kids(?) did have some good reactions towards the end. And one of the young ladies made some comment about whatever she was gonna be like on Letterboxed, which… idk, live you best life, girl.

 

Thought this ruled! Loved how gritty it was. Put that Mandy red flood light shot in all the movies
