Wow that reunion was dumb. Glad Irina got dragged tho. I will also say I don’t buy most of what Paul says. He’s calculated to the point of being coldhearted. Every time Vanessa speaks, my whole body cringes. The “wanting a LIB baby” stuff is awful. Her reactions are downright uncomfortable at times and her questions suck. Nick is not much better as a host. Something that annoys me that they were doing is when married couples say how “marriage is not easy” and joke about how casually annoyed they get with one another. Like do you resent your partner or what.
Reunion was a dud. Was there a particular reason why they waited a year for it? Felt like that sucked a lot of the juice out of the interactions. Seemed like most of them just wanted to move on from discussing anything. Interviewing Jackie and Marshall separately was lame too. I turned it off after that part as it mostly felt like a drag. Also they need a real host for this going forward.
Oh I think that would have deflated all the stakes. They need to be together (which is why it was disappointing for Jackie and Josh to not attend). People want to see messiness at a reunion, or at least I do haha. Would love for next season's to be way more out-of-control. And dear god get rid of Vanessa as a host.
I think it would have been so much better. I think the plan was to do it in person like it was, but have Vanessa read questions live from IG Live. Would have gotten so many more unhinged questions and way less baby shit.
I think the thing with Paul is he just didn't want to give his real answer and sound malicious to her on live TV. But with his "bad mom" comment I think it's pretty obvious. Michah gravitated towards Irina in the pods, and in the real world you see her best friend is also a jerk. She just gives off immature high school vibes, and I think Paul realized she was not someone who's ready to take on real responsibilities.
I don't think he ever needed to say anything about his perceived ability in her as a mother. IMO, to make those explicit critiques is cruel whereas a simple "I realized we weren't right for each other" would have been enough. I agree that Micah could use some growing up, but I felt for her after he said what he said.
Didn't realize there was such a big gap between the original filming and when it was released. Obviously that makes sense but wonder what the decision-making process was for that.
Yeah Venessa was the true villain yowzers. I was Marshall’s face during that gross interview with Jackie/Josh. Really made me mad how insensitive she was being to Marshall in that part. It seemed the crowd was mad too and she even picked up on that THEN proceeded to call him out on “giving her eyebrows”. Made me mad. Also I didn’t think Micah was attacking Paul at all. Zach was being weird about that. Lastly yes I give credit to Irina for coming on knowing she’s going to be dragged. She has a lot more respect from me than JJ.
Season 5 today babyyyyyyy Just watched the first episode, I think this is the first time I can recall no one proposing by the end of episode 1 lol.
Episode 1 already reminding me this is the best reality trash dating show out there. I like the dude who looks like Austin Ekeler
I like Johnie and Izzy seems awfully concerned with being “given up on”, but I do think hearing someone say they’ve only ever loved one person and it not being the person they had married would give a little pause lol, especially if there’s someone else in the pods you like. But he handles new information so dramatically Uche’s reaction to Aaliyah was awful tho
