definitely. extremely fucked up of his dad to do that. it makes sense Clay brings up his fears in the way he does. I actually think AD is doing the right thing by hearing him out and not making it about herself. I don't think he actually believes he will or that he wants to cheat on AD, but just expressing that he didn't observe successful partnerships growing up and he's afraid of becoming his father.
The gym stuff was bad but I agree he seems to be doing some self reflection and is growing through the process. Even without the trauma he went through with his dad, it's perfectly reasonable for anyone to get all up in their head at this point in the "experiment". He seems genuine about not wanting to hurt AD but good on him for expressing his fears and explaining the background behind them. And good on her for (so far) hearing him out and trying to understand.
He's also expressed interest in doing counseling and couples therapy, so he seems genuinely interested in being a good person/husband. But yeah, from everything he went through growing up, he probably has self-doubts.
I hear all of that, but I also think some of you are giving the Gatorade boy too much credit lol. I think the bar is just in hell for the guys on this season and Clay somehow comes out looking like one of the better ones.
Feel like this season has had way more rumors and info get leaked about the cast then what I have typically been aware of. There is some stuff on Ken that has got tossed out there from what is seemingly his cousin that is shitty that it came from her and not him if its accurate.
lol i saw him on what appeared to be a double date on friday night, seemed "happy" or whatever. thought he was psychotic on the season but apparently AD has been defending him and saying he got a bad edit in her experience so im a bit more open to him being normal i guess especially if the worst thing is him being weirdly standoffish, with the pathological lying from several of the other contestants the second people found out about them on social lol
Sara Ann also said he never walked out on her in the pods as Netflix made it appear. He commented on one of the LIB posts that he was given a bad edit and couldn’t wait to tell his side of the story. Also admitted to not fitting in because he “leads a sober lifestyle”
Just caught up, this season is magical. Really hoping Jessica breaks Jimmy's heart, he sucks. Jeramey and Laura are both terrible. Clay is incredible TV and seems unhorrible, honestly. Love Johnny and Amy outside of what seems to be his belief condoms will get them pregnant???
I think the issue with releasing the show in weeks instead of at once is how much the cast is on socials shooting down what happened, or explaining what happened when the cameras were off, etc. Watching Ep 10 now and at the part where Chelsea is complaining (again), but she (and other girls from the pod) have said how they're painting this picture of her being clingy when she's not really like that IRL.
yeah they really need better social media NDAs for this show or something, idk. I've been spoiled so many times this season before getting a chance to catch up.
Is Chelsea really getting mad at Jimmy for being out at a friend’s birthday party for…1 hour? “I don’t want someone who wants to go out all the time” like are you fucking serious lmao?
Chelsea is like a giant walking red flag. Fuck, they all are. Edit: also is it just me or does Jimmy give off INSINCERE AS FUCK vibes. Like I totally don't believe a word he says and is just going through the motions.
That's what makes Jeremy's comment about them all getting vetted, having a psych evaluation, etc is wild. Clearly the producers want messy people moreso than actual functioning relationships. but i guess that's why we keep coming back for more lol.
