To be fair, apparently it was originally 16 episodes and ended up being 14, so not far from the original goal.
finished season 4... umm, wtf was that ending? locke is dead?! by suicide??? how did ben end up getting off the island? that locke reveal at the end, man i can't imagine experiencing that in real time when it happened. i gotta say, i think i'm just as upset with jin's death as i was with charlie's. he really became the character next to desmond that i enjoyed spending time with the most. sun's reaction was devastating. also, pretty bummed that i'm guessing that's the last we get of desmond, although i ugly cried at his reunion with penny. ultimately he got a beautiful clean ending if that's truly the last we see of him. not sure what sun's business is gonna be with widmore. intrigued by that. can't wait to get clarity on what's happening with jack's dad showing up everywhere. now i only have 2 seasons left and i'm getting sad. not ready for it to be over. gonna savor these remaining episodes.
It should also be mentioned that in between season 3 and 4 they transitioned from a fall to a spring show. So the wait between seasons was even longer
The pilot is better than I remember. Started episode 2 and remembered a lot of the Carlie storyline and got sad. People don’t rub heroin on their gums, bad writing.
ngl though, season 5 has been a little over my head so far. so much shit going on. locke's alive again, everybody has to get back to the island. the constant time travel. its alot.
