This photo is at the school I went to. I was there and got to meet him as well with a fellow Lostie from this forum. Actually, I recently found my Blackberry I owned at the time where instead of taking a photo with him, I asked him for a video. Per my request, he looks into the camera and says, "We're the good guys, Jessica." Now help, how do I get this video off my Blackberry?
finished 3 and...WOW HOLY SHIT!!! all of jacks flashbacks were actually flash forwards??!? they did get off the island? if this was a flash forward, how come there are mentions of jack's dad like he's still alive? how did penelope transmission to the underground station? who was the person that died in the casket? did i miss something or did they intentionally not reveal who it was? who did kate have to get back to at the end? i'm guessing sawyer. also who the fuck is jacob?? so many god damn questions and i'm happy i don't have to wait like you guys did for the answers lol. but most of all, i can't believe they really killed off charlie. what a heartbreaking hero's sendoff. had me in tears. agreed that the beginning of the season dragged a bit but boy did they deliver in the end.
When I was in tenth grade, my Language Arts teacher had us write an essay on who we consider to be a hero. Many classmates picked their fathers, soldiers, etc… I picked Charlie.
I have been waiting for this post lol. The other day when you said you had to pause before the last couple I was like “awww nuts” hahaha. The season three finale is one of those seminal moments of television that I’ll never forget. That moment near the end when your brain suddenly starts clicking like “wait a min - WAIT A MINUTE” omg so fun. Part of me wants so badly to answer all of your questions and the other part of me remembers reading everyone’s questions about the same damn things in every forum across the web at the time so I’m also like Enjoy the rest of the ride because the seasons are shorter from here and they really go full throttle to the finish line. If you think you’ve got questions now, hoo boy.
Man Charlie had me in tears twice. First when he’s preparing the jump off the boat finishing his greatest hits list, and again when he drowns. And if I’m being honest, Jack screaming “we have to go back” also got me choked up. Don’t worry, you’re not supposed to know yet who’s in the casket. But if you took a close look at the obituary Jack reads, it’s for Jeremy Bentham….
completely forgot to even mention how locke miraculously survived the gun shot wound and seemed perfectly okay. i guess the island healed him? i was 100% certain he was going to shoot the phone at the end. i dont expect answers to my questions haha just giving my commentary. also, i watched the finale thinking that i had 1 more episode left in the season which made this all even more shocking.
Oh my god I totally forgot they did this. Did they release all four clips of the reveal at one point or am I just imagining that?
we literally had different badges made for which "team" we were on, and we had signatures back then so it was in each person's signature, and there were so many little things
The LOST thread was practically its own forum. I made friends through that thread. Some of us even had LOST trivia nights on AIM in between seasons. We theorized and discussed every single detail of these episodes. The songs, the books that get mentioned, everything. I spotted someone from the thread for the first time at a Manchester Orchestra show then went up to him and said, "What did one snowman say to the other snowman?" Haha.
It was that active that around the end of the ap.net run, I think there had been a dozen threads created in total as each would hit the number of posts limit. I always said I'd go through my second watch while following these old threads like I was actually there but then chorus.fm happened and ap.net was sadly nuked.
