You didn't watch FlashForward or DayBreak? I enjoyed both of those. I agree with your order above except for me I finished Six Degrees and liked it more than Alcatraz and Revolution. Awake's pilot is one of my favorite episodes of TV too. There was a fair enough of garbage in it, but it was better than it got credit for.
Honestly I can't remember if I gave FlashForward a shot or not. The only thing I remember about that show is some sort of like, board room with a lot of people looking at screens.... I dunno, it's not really a memory hahaha. Googling Daybreak, pretty sure I never saw that one
I completely forgot about Daybreak. Loved Awake. I watched all of Flashforward and wasn’t real interested in it until that cliffhanger season finale that set up a much more interesting show going forward. Oh well.
Can’t forget the other attempted Lost knockoffs, Surface, Invasion, Threshold, Persons Unknown and Happy Town. They really tried for a long time. Edit: oh yeah. Can’t forget Terra Nova. Hoo boy.
Yeah there were some bad knockoffs. Loved Awake though. The trailer for it is just the best, then the pilot really delivered and then it just was kind of midling, not bad but not living up to its awesome potential either. I really liked the finale though. Just rewatched some of DayBreak, it wasn't the worst thing ever. FlashForward was laughable at times but the finale was very good like you said.
Great list, really enjoyed reading that. However, i need to rank the sopranos in the top 5, there are UNQUESTIONABLY better episodes of parks & rec, and i probably would have chosen the S3 finale of Lost as #1. I guess i should also watch the Leftovers
Yes you should. Season 1 of Leftovers mostly follows the book but seasons 2 and 3 are heavy on the LOST vibes
The Leftovers perfects the forumla of Lost to me. My alll-time favorite show. Season 1 is dark, and so are seasons two and three but they’re also surreal and really funny.
I had no idea what The Leftovers was (still don’t really aside from a 20 second google search). Legit thought it was something to do with food because of the title.
I remember coming home from University every single Tuesday and buying a sandwich and drink and plomping my then-fat-ass on my couch and watching this. This show absolutely mesmerised me and I was gutted at the ending. I recently rewatched the entire series with my sister. I was still completely drawn in by absolutely everything and so was she. This show brought me together with my family and I will always defend that it is the greatest show I have ever seen.
This is nice and all, but in a way - go fuck yourselves. I’m supposed to be productive this weekend and I can already feel myself starting to slip wondering how I can watch the show ASAP and wondering if I can get it done before work on Monday or I end up liking it. Damn you!
