so ive been listening to their discog in anticipation of this, and its totally underrated just how good a song writer Tom is. The guy has written all the instrumentals for all 6 of their albums and has always been able to progress the bands sound while keeping familiar at the same time.
Lyrics to this album are on Genius if you feel like reading some poetry / don't feel like it spoils the experience (I don't).
The amount of people that now have this album in their possession amazes me and pisses me off at once simultaneously, due to the fact it still hasn't leaked yet and how resolute some of their diehards are at keeping this thing wrapped up tight. I just wanna soundtrack this early gust of spring weather we're getting with some new Los Camp!
Got Stendhal's has a pretty different vibe, and I suddenly want to hear Los Campesinos! to write a moody electronica record
I liked this a lot on first listen. Need more time with it. Slow Death was definitely the stand out for me. Stunning song.
They're up on cached versions of the links, but I'll compile them together for the sake of convenience. Los Campesinos! - Sick Scenes [LYRICS] - Pastebin.com
Here’s to the fourth time! Call it ‘The Time Before The Last Time’, or ‘Good News For Her Mother!’ im such a sucker for call backs to old songs.
The obnoxious snare drum in Sad Suppers reminds me of the one on The Hotelier's Goodness pt.2 and Piano Player. (italics for song titles is cool, right?)
