If I were a betting man (I'm not), I'd put money on Renato Dall'Ara (2008) or A Slow, Slow Death being the next song we hear from this. (But I heard Blackbird/Dark Slope when I saw them headline Tramlines a few months before Hello Sadness, and that wasn't a single). Next week maybe?
this is my fiance's like favorite band, they seem cool, but im kinda surprised they're as widely adored on here as ive seen considering her taste doesnt really overlap with this site at all
they aren't really a "this site" sort of band they just have a passionate fanbase for those who like them not really a sonic similarity but sort of a similar style fanbase to titus andronicus to a point
tiny engines has destroyed my vinyl budget for the year. im hoping i can get the LP cheap at their show in march.
Oh no, not this song - I've seen the lyrics and it's uncomfortably relevant to me at the moment. I'll post them when the song's out on Monday. Devastating account of Gareth's ongoing battle with depression.
you can find the new single in the KEXP archives from today.... its pretty much another perfect single. This could easily end up being their best album.
Thanks! This song is fantastic, easily the best Gareth has sounded. I wasn't even sure that was him singing at first
I first heard of this band from say anything since the lead singer was on the album Hebrews. This single is pretty great so I think I'm going to try to dive into them
Another blister pack pops but I still feel much the same 31 and depression is a young man's game Fuck.
"Am I a piggy bank of obsolete currency? An order of merit from country known for tyranny? Another blister pack pops, but I still feel much the same, 31 and depression is a young man’s game" God, I love Gareth's lyrics.
This band continues to get better with each release, it's amazing. They deserve far more love than they currently get. Can't wait for the album next month.
I can't wait for this album. Just realized this is the next show I'm going to on March 1. Binge time.
