I've only made it a couple of songs into this, Gareth's voice sounds really whiny compared to No Blues. Maybe I'll get used to it, I'm enjoying the first couple of songs on a 2nd attempt.
yeah the second song the vocals are pretty weird, get into the middle section definitely it's worth it
Hello Sadness is fantastic, I think they just regret the tracklist and they're right. The b-sides for that record are some of their best songs, it's insane they didn't make the cut.
I still think "I Broke Up In Amarante" sounds like a lost Taking Back Sunday B-side - just the flow of the lyrics and the guitar work make me think of TBS. "5 Flucloxacillin" is a fantastic song though. It's funny that I've known of Los Campesinos for like 10 years now, and its really only their last few albums that have done anything for me at all
still really really like this, don't think it's their best but about half of this falls amongst my favorite songs of theirs and this album definitely helped me get into this band far more as well
I definitely overplayed it too much when it first came out so I'm a little over it, but I'm pretty confident in saying Renato Dall'Ara is my favorite Los Camp song
yeah pretty much feel the same way. This album probably has their best songs, but somehow its not their best album. Still love it though
i think the pacing is a little off at times, and the back end struggles a bit and it's not cohesive all the way through, but the best songs are really really great still team hello sadness 4 lyf
preach it. the only fault of HS is that "Tiptoe Through The True Bits" is not officially on the album. Song is too good to be considered a b-side.
Hearing everyone's favourites is so heart warming, their catalogue is loaded with so much quality music! My favourite album & songs always fluctuate, usually between Romance & No Blues. Last 3-4 tracks on Hello Sadness & No Blues are the best combination of songs
You know it's a good thread when people can talk about fav songs / albums without it devolving into a series of top 10 lists.
