Never listened to this band before and this album completely blew me away. Listening to We Are Beautiful now and it’s just as excellent. Feels like I’m discovering a new favorite band which is cool.
I really need to point out one of my favorites lines on this: "Do you still have that one tattoo? That's how it works, of course you do."
Definitely my aoty at this point, amazing record. And yet I think when it's all said and done my top 3 songs will likely be the first 3 singles.
I only discovered them this year when I was floored by Fest Of Tongues. I went through the discography front to back and kinda wish I hadn't because nothing clicked at all until Romance Is Boring. Glad you're finding more to enjoy with the early albums.
There are about 15 favorite lines that I get stuck in my head from this album and this is one of them. Gareth very well be my favorite lyricist.
This is also my first Los Camp album and this fucking rules I think my friend showed me some songs in high school (pre-2010ish) but I didn't vibe with it at the time, but this is absolutely hitting
I think this might be my AOTY so far. One of those records that start off very strong, and just keeps getting better and better as it goes on. The run from Feast to 0898 is legitimately an emo scene all time run
Yeah, this is absolutely my AotY for the year and it's not even close. Every time I get through it I just start it over again.
I have a signed (full-band) copy of the Marble Red/Black [Blood Moon] variant that has pretty bad ringwear if anyone in the states wants a deeply-discounted vinyl. I'm cool with my Dinked version.
Yeah easy for me to say being a newbie to the band but this is their best album. Like I have recency bias for every album and this is definitely their best.
To Hell in a Handjob might be my new favourite LC! song. The way it explodes after the second chorus is so good.
Also very relevant in the UK currently with the "moral panic breeds goose stepping" lyric after the ridiculous right wing protests/riots this past week.
Yeah after my fifth or so listen this is really stepping to Waxahatchee as my aoty. 0898 HEARTACHE may be one of my favorite LC songs at this point
Saw a lot of praise for this album recently, never listened to them at all. Can safely say as I'm halfway through the album, this is going to be my personality for the foreseeable future.
