I asked Eva where you were and she told me and I was like "How far of a drive is that?" and briefly considered it...hahaha but yeah way too far. I have awful timing with my trips. :(
I'll be there for The Matches as well. No idea where I'm staying yet. Might do a hostel or Jerry's Motel, or just camp somewhere.
Yeah we met up for dinner/drinks that Sunday, explored Hollywood and then went to a sketch comedy show. It was an awesome day and possibly the best Sunday I've ever had and Eva is the best
I will not stand for this slander. I had one glass of wine and then we saw some sort of cosplay convention outside a nightclub and spent 2 hours staring at it
When I looked up what it was the next day I was so disappointed that it wasn't just people wandering in costumes for some cult. Although it's phenomenal being able to say "We each had one or two drinks and then we saw Robin socializing with The Mad Hatter."
I love Mel's. I used to go there all the time with my dad when I was younger. After my wisdom teeth healed from being taken out I went and got a steak sandwich as my first real meal.
It's a decent venue. Nothing too crazy, aesthetically. They've got a bunch of empty photo frames scattered along the back walls for decoration. It's a small standing room, and the show was sold out, so it was pretty packed in. There's one small elevated platform in the back corner, but other than that, you'd wanna be close to the stage if you're shorter than average. There's a small bar in the other back corner. I preferred standing in the back, but the bathrooms are also in the back through a hallway, so I got all the foot traffic going by me smh.
I definitely did, as did my girlfriend who was inland at the time. I saw on twitter reports from Venice to Palm Springs, pretty nuts
I was laying in my bed. The one a couple years ago fucked up my school's library so bad it still hasn't reopened. I enjoy earthquakes as weird as that sounds.
I like them as long as they aren't super damaging. Last night it rocked me back and forth very soothing-ly
I completely missed it and then several people texted me about it right after it happened. Kinda disappointed.
I didn't stay long but seeing the skyline and walking around Downtown was super cool. Also drove out to Santa Monica, then took SM Blvd though Century City, Hollywood, and Silver Lake. I wish I could afford to live out there because it's gorgeous. Hoping I can go back soon. I ended up booking my room right before I left so I stayed at the Bonaventure. Same price as Jerry's, which was sold out. My only beef is the $60 valet parking, which is pretty standard for most big hotels in major cities. I parked at the US Bank Tower for half the price.
I got back from my Vegas/LA adventure yesterday. In LA, I ate at Crossroads and The Griddle Cafe. Both were delicious!
