Passed by two fires on my way to Palm Desert. One right outside Corona and by Moreno Valley.

there's a lot of littler fires northeast of me but nothing too close. i'm more concerned about other people re: the simi valley fire and the garden grove chemical leak, tho if they get too much into the air or water, respectively, then that might pose a threat to everyone in the larger la area.

 

Yeah that Garden Grove thing is concerning. I don't want to be breathing that shit in if it goes. I assume we're close enough to hear an explosion there.

I saw some Reddit posts with Disneyland pretty relatively empty, likely due to folks worried about that inevitable chemical explosion/leak. Crazy that there’s no solution other than to let it explode or fully leak into the environment.

 

Oh dang that's nuts I didn't even think of that affecting Disneyland, good thing we did our trip earlier this year already

 

idk why the primary is making me so anxious. I don't think there's really an actual chance we'll flip red in November, it only looks scarily close because we have too many candidates splitting the vote. With a little less than half the ballots left to be counted, is there still a chance for Hilton and Pratt to be locked out of the general election? Was that always the goal? Does it even matter in the end, so long as we stay blue?

 

I've joined a discord server for ppl in LA with AMC A-List to schedule meetups but as a queer woc I'm a little wary of meeting ppl from online but then again y'all are literally ppl online and I've met some of you... My mom's been even more paranoid than me ever since I came out so I think if I'd told her I planned on meeting ppl I met online she'd probably freak out on me. My parents worry anytime I'm out late for a concert etc and stay up until I get home. Apparently five trans ppl have been killed in the past month... The A-List server is a cool idea tho and I hope it takes off, I probably won't be using it, personally
