Looking forward to this OCVibe reveals details of the 5,000-seat concert hall that opens in 2027 – Orange County Register
not sure if anyone takes the 5 north into the 134 west but man the 1 lane closure is the worst lol no eta on whenever whatever they’re doing is gonna be done either
I had to take that route when I visited my hometown last month and the traffic in that area was terrible. Gonna just stick on the 101 next time I need to go up north
They're doing something on the 5 by Burbank, had lane closure on one side or another for the last few days I think
Because OC wants to claim LA (it’s me, I’m in OC), there are free Wonder Years tickets for Friday night in the Evvntly app. I might have an extra if they’re all gone already.
got some free ones last week too, wonder why they decided to have 3 shows withing a 50 mile proximity lol
I miss la something fierce. one day Ima make a lot of money or make it Big and go back if only just for a little bit
I'm like 75% sure i saw Ally Beardsley at the Sasami show in Pasadena a couple nights ago and also 75% sure the guy who looked like David Dastmalchian wasn't actually him
You got it - I bought one on presale, but I’ve actually got an extra pair from Evvntly. He’s got free ones for Microwave and Anthony Green in San Diego too.
Kinda surprised myself; I get that OC and LA are usually big markets for them, but Belasco sold out and HOB isn’t even close to selling out (I think it might be around half full). I love that record though and I guessssss I’ll see Knuckle Puck again but I do wish they’d have grabbed someone more interesting to open.
Ahhhh ok nevermind, didn't realize it's a NCTH anniversary tour, I don't really like that album, I'm out
Kinda surprised that HOB show isn’t selling too well. I always assumed they (as well as other bands of their ilk) did pretty well in OC
Yeah I am so fucking over this heatwave. I feel like we didn’t really get a proper winter this year. Kinda worrying/dreading what this summer will be like
Most of LA/OC set records over the last day or two. DTLA was the hottest it’s been in over 100 years.
On seeing Maya Hawke at Sid the Cat in Pasadena: Oh, and another bartender outside, kinda like a patio area with some places to sit. I parked by the park across the street both times I've been here, but I think I've just been lucky. They do have a paid parking lot I think. Would recommend visiting if you knew someone was playing here but were unsure about making the drive out. I'm sure there's some restaurants within walking distance; I got boba a couple blocks away before the show
I used to live in South Pasadena. That building was offices for the school district for a long time. They also had high-end haunted houses in the parking lot for Halloween. I still haven’t been to a show there but I am excited to check it out. Definitely a part of the map that many transplants might never mosey on over to but it’s not that far from the main LA action.
oh cool there's fires to the west, to the east, to the northwest, and to the southeast. watch duty app so fun this time of year.
