Junior High seems like what you’re looking for. I’ll keep brainstorming though https://www.instagram.com/juniorhighla?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== There are about a million. The best one imo is Writers Round. Nashville style with 2 sets of 3 artists. And then one or two open mic segments. I’m not sure how they run the open mic section, I haven’t been in a while. I think you submit your name and then they’re pulled out at random? Either way it’s at best a really great community of musicians that come together https://www.instagram.com/writers_round_la?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
There's one at the Habitat on La Brea marked down to like $200. About a $2000 piano from what I could tell
That's pretty wild, if it was close to me and I had a way to transport and knew how to play piano ... I'd be down
Anyone here been to a show at The Troubadour? I’m going to the Superdrag show there tomorrow night and I’m trying to figure out parking. Reddit tells me that street is my best option, but are there other options for parking?
You might be able to steal a rare street spot on the streets above or below the venue. I get lucky sometimes. There are also lots and valets around, if you don’t mind paying the money.
I've only ever taken the subway then the bus there. I don't drive to shows in Hollywood, WeHo, or DTLA, I leave my car at NoHo Station, so I'm no help. Check out Book Soup when you're there, though, if you don't mind the walk
Paying for parking for a show is the norm for me, so I don’t really care if I have to do it as long as my car and I are safe Oh man it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been to Book Soup. I went once years ago for a signing Noted! Is that the one on Robertson? I got a suggestion for that one too

Orange County and during Warped, but Four Year Strong announced a side show with Drug Church, Comeback Kid, and Stateside on Saturday 7/26 in Garden Grove. Stateside also announced a record release show in Long Beach 7/19 at Gilmore Music.
Saw Weezer do the whole EWBAITE album there (and I think a random Christian worship service like 20 years ago? Lol). It was a cool place. RIP.
I've been to maybe a dozen shows a year since 2016 (sans COVID year) and I've never been to the Mayan
