I saw the Soul Coughing reunion show there back in September and thought it was a great venue. Clean, easy to get to, good parking situation. I’d go back, even though the trek to shows in LA is kind of hard for me. My only gripe is that the cell service in the venue itself sucks
Apparently Christina Aguilera was at the Sabrina Carpenter show. I considered going to one of the dates but getting to Inglewood and back via public transit is a nightmare, and the last time I was there I had my parents drive me and the traffic after the show was also a nightmare. Teensy downside to liking some bigger artists is bigger venues harder to get to. But liek, Olivia Rodrigo is a higher priority so I put up with it once in a while (and got to see her sing Hot to Go with Chappell Roan lolol). I saw Georgia Maq at this tiny venue, essentially a bar, and it was fucking awesome
Help needed. I am in Orange County right now looking after my brother who just got out of jail and the hospital. He lives up by Sacramento but was down here visiting his ex and seeing his daughter. He has an alcohol addiction and severe mental health issues. Anyway, he has a dog that he brought down and he is no longer able to care for this dog. In short, my brother had a mental breakdown and is probably going to get into some type of treatment program up in Sacramento and is about to lose his house as well. He simply can't care for this dog anymore. The dog is currently with his ex in Aliso Viejo and she is not allowed to have dogs in her apartment. She's worried about getting fined or kicked out. I have already reached out to two organizations here in OC about emergency surrender - only one replied so far and they can't take him. Does anyone here have any options, advice, or - extremely long shot - does anyone want to emergency adopt a sweet but rambunctious dog who needs a home? Maybe you have a friend or family member who wants a dog? I am here for another 24 hours and want to get this dog somewhere safe before I leave. Another option is finding someone who will pet sit the dog until the shelter has a space for him which could be 2-3 weeks. I don't know where else to turn so I am trying here. I can DM pictures and more info about the dog if you need it. He's a mixed breed, adult male, about 70 lbs. Kind of a tank but a goofy lovable one.
Which shelters in the area did you try? My parents are down there and adopted from Mission Viejo Animal Shelter, it looks like they intake, but it costs and there's a process. This foundation is in LA, but they might be able to offer some guidance. The last question in the FAQ gives a little information: Resources & FAQ — Sante D'Or Foundation
I tried Priceless Pets (they can't help) and Mutts in Need (waiting to hear from them). I will check your links out, thanks!
I'm so sorry, that all sounds really hard and intense. As much as my kid would love a dog, we definitely can't handle one yet, I'm sorry
I forwarded this to my friend who works at an animal shelter. We're up in SFV tho so idk how much it can help
You had me until 70lbs. Unless he's a Benjamin button type dog we cant have that at our place. @WanderingSquall get you a dog son
