I was parked next to one at Walmart and it truly was the ugliest thing ever

 

I’ve seen like 4 over the last couple of weeks between NoHo and Burbank. So abnormal.

 

I live right and do my grocery shopping right near a tesla charging station so unfortunately I’ve seen many

 

Drove past one in Burbank today. It’s a moral obligation to look the owners in the eyes with visible disgust when possible

Later today I'll be taking the Red Line to a comedy show by Westlake/MacArthur Park Station. I've never gotten off there before and have a couple hours to kill. Is anyone familiar with that area? I'm wondering if I should take a look around by the venue or just do my usual Amoeba visit instead (or The Last Bookstore and backtrack a little)

 

Assuming you're going to Dynasty Typewriter, there's really not much in that area I can think of, it's really not the best part of town to kill time. Probably better off doing your usual.

 

Perfect timing, I saw this right as I was getting on the subway, and now I just finished shopping at Amoeba. Gonna grab a bite around here before heading over

Is Dynasty Typewriter a popular venue? I don't really go to comedy shows often so I have no idea

 

Yeah they have a lot of cool shows there, I feel like it kind of took over after UCB went under.

Before the show they play a powerpoint of pics from past acts and there were a lot of big names.

but yeah aside from the titular MacArthur Park there seems to be not much to do in the area. People still had a soccer game going when I got out tho so that was cool to see, I don't really live within walking distance of any parks to see the community active like that

 

think you mean the 16th for st Vincent! I’m going to that one too and just wanted to make sure you don’t miss it haha

Billie's playing The Forum, I fucking haaaaate (using public transit to and from) The Forum. If I'm lucky enough to even score a ticket I might bite the bullet and just pay for parking, drive there super early or something.

 

Park by the Vons/bank of America and walk 10mins. Easy and free

 

they don't tow you for doing that??

 

I wouldn’t risk it honestly, they’ve cracked down heavy on that area. I used to street park and now you have to have a permit to park anywhere within like 2 miles of it. So now I just bite the bullet and park there but honestly getting in and out isn’t too bad

 

Last I was there it was metered thats off after 8pm, and that was maybe a couple months back

 

I parked at a brewery in the area last time then ubered from there

 

I typically look to use Spot Hero nearby and then walk a bit.

 

Oh so you're not actually in the Vons parking lot? That's probably fine
