Everyone grabbed those Offspring/The Maine tickets REAL quick. I hope they don't put those free tickets on Stubhub. Smh.
Anyone going to any of these? Fri 9/24 Lucy Dacus/Bachelor at the Theatre at Ace Hotel Sat 10/2 Japanese Breakfast at the Regent Theater Thu 10/28 Soccer Mommy at the Fonda Tue 11/2 Half Waif at The Echo Thu 11/4 Julien Baker at the Wiltern Mon 11/15 Japanese Breakfast/Sasami at The Glass House I set a reminder and somehow still missed out on tix for Phoebe Bridgers. Oh well, I don't like the Greek Theater all that much anyway. Sasami announced some shows supporting Japanese Breakfast, so I guess I'm seeing JB twice. I've never been to the Glass House.
Love it. Stood on the roof of my building and smoked and watched the lightning for awhile. Reminds me of Florida
me and my friends decided to take a day trip to Hollywood sign/Santa Monica and that was pretty fun. The only bummer part for me was the lack of good food I ate and also hiking to the sign in jeans.
Nice little article on the East Side Bike Club and their Tour de Taco bike ride The bike club empowering LA's Latinx community
Anyone been to the YouTube Theater at SoFi Stadium yet? Might be my new favorite venue. Everything looks so expensive there haha. And the sound was the best I’ve ever heard.
This is the part where I give my professional opinion about what to do in LA even though I've only been here for a year and haven't done much of anything really!
Chatsworth is about an hour from LA proper so if you don’t have a car you’re pretty limited in what to do. You’re basically in the suburbs. Maybe find a nice mall?
Lots of restaurants, shopping areas, and boba places in Northridge and Porter Ranch. A few In n Out locations. I went to school in the area but those are the only places I'm familiar with that far west in the Valley.
The Topanga Mall area has been really built up in the past few years. Not the actual mall building that's empty (except for the movie theater) but I think it's called Topanga Westfield? Lots of shopping and restaurants and they usually have holiday stuff up with an ice skating rink. Seconding Northridge around CSUN. Lots of variety in restaurants and such. If you plan to drive anywhere it will definitely take time to get there from Chatsworth so make sure you give yourself plenty of travel time Edit: Westfield Topanga & The Village here's the link to Topanga Westfield!
For real, I second all the restaurants in Northridge. If you like ramen, there’s a place called Maru Ramen in Northridge that’s great. Their spicy miso ramen is absolutely bomb.
