Ontario here. Glasshouse doesnt have that much going on really anymore. Seen Against Me there in September which was cool.
i've moved around a lot my whole life, so im not even sure where im technically from. I went to highschool in oregon, and the longest ive ever lived anywhere consecutively was in connecticut, so i usually say im from oregon or connecticut, but ive lived in: oregon, washington, oklahoma, virginia, louisana, Pennsylvania, colorado, connecticut, missouri, sort of new york city for a bit, prolly a few others that im drawing a blank on. but im staying in la, its fucking perfect here.
Jay Som is opening for Japanese Breakfast at the Glass House, but it's so far (I'm a terrible/lazy driver) and I just saw Japanese Breakfast a few months ago. I really hope Jay Som does a headlining gig in LA soon. Seeing St. Vincent next week, though.
I hate requesting time off work, but Mount Eerie is coming to LA so I need to see that. Also, The Dear Hunter playing with BTBAM is pretty rad, but it’s a week before Mount Eerie so I probably won’t be able to do both.
Yeah we left around midnight. It was just nonstop bangers the whole time. Only downside is I would hear a song inside then go out to the patio and hear the same song again.
I've only ever stayed til 2:00 haha. We always say we're going to leave around midnight then we keep loving it all
Did you buy the presale tickets for $30? Only way I'd go again or with guest list. I will never stand in that line. Holy hell guys, chill out
When do you get in line though? Granted I've never done it, but always seen comments that if you're not in the line by 6/7pm you won't get in. Always looks stupidly long
I dunno, just whenever we get there I guess. It's like an hour from my work, and I'm off at 6, so yeah I guess we get in line a bit after 7? I've never seen people not get in, they might just have to wait a while.
My friend goes almost every month and he works in LA so he got in line around 5:30 and I joined him at 7. The line is insane yeah but it’s not like a show where if you’re not in front you’re not gonna get a good spot or something.
Anybody know of any good disco clubs? I don’t think there’s one where I’m at so I’ll probably have to go into LA proper
My first thought is Oil Can Harry's in Studio City. Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but I know a few people have gone there for disco in the past.
