A teenager's quest to launch Norwegian Black Metal in Oslo in the 1980s results in a very violent outcome. Lords of Chaos tells the true story of True Norwegian Black Metal and its most notorious practitioners - a group of young men with a flair for publicity, church-burning and murder: MAYHEM.

    Starring Rory Culkin, Sky Ferreria

    Now in theaters and VOD.

Saw it last night and kinda loved it.

I can’t imagine wanting to see a movie where these people are the protagonists. The story of this band and its members is one of the saddest and most sickening I’ve ever heard in music. And isn’t the one living dude a straight up nazi?? Ugh.

Interested in seeing this, but not enough to find a theater it's playing at. It'll show up eventually online to stream.

This is on Hulu now, it’s pretty bad. The tone is super weird, it’s like half quirky comedy and half super violent shit.

Also the dude who plays Varg is fucking TERRIBLE.

I figured it would be, you’re honestly just better off watching the thousands of black metal documentaries out there

As shitty as everyone involved is, that story is super interesting. I’d like to see a decent dramatization of it

I disagree but only because I know about the history of the genre and despite being a fan of it, it full of terrible people who don’t deserve that.

It’s decent, it does a good job of covering the basics
