That last stretch was so good. I’m already thinking this is her best album, as a whole creative statement, after one listen. I could make a case for “Girl so confusing (remix)” being my favorite song of last year; this feels like the spirit of that verse expanded out and focused into 34 min of immaculately produced confident uncertainty. In love with the whole sad-at-the-club vibe of this shit (in spite of the “at-the-club” part definitively not being how I live, lol). Good shit, y’all.
Good album, and will almost certainly be a grower. I have a feeling it’s going to hit real well on a summer evening with some headphones.
i really like this. "if she could see me now" and "clearblue" were standouts for me. i'm excited to keep listening. it feels like a really raw, personal album that's not so easy. she's a great artist
Played the full album front to back apparently. The full set should be available online for anyone that cares as BBC cover Glastonbury extensively in the UK. Might even be accessible on iPlayer via VPN for those outside the UK.
man, no skips here. what a record. time will tell if i like it more than melodrama, but i'm excited about the possibility.
Really like "Man of the Year" and "GRWM." Rest of this might grow on me. I like it more than Solar Power and Melodrama for sure. Metal detector line in "Clearblue" kind of made me cringe.
Oh sure, but it doesn't make charging $45 for it any less cringe sadly. Also knowing how good some smaller artists/bands are with their merch and teaming up with incredibly talented artists for it
Still stand by the singles being the weakest here but the rest is pretty much everything I want from an album in this genre, got this on repeat
