not being online is something literally anyone can do at any time and i wish i and others did it more
I do think there’s something mildly tone deaf about preaching the whole disconnect from the internet thing when you spent the pandemic in one of the least effected countries while much of the rest of the world was forced to burrow further online to maintain any degree of connectedness. I would love to permanently Log Off but it is definitely something more complicated now than probably ever before.
right, i get that for sure. whether it's genuine or not is up in the air, but also kind of not for any of us to say? the actual practice on its own though seems like pretty clearly a good thing
going off the grid/disconnecting from the internet is just about the easiest thing one can do from someone who is aggressively online lol
sounds like you guys need to feel the rain on your skin cuz no one can feel it for you. only you can let it in.
comparing lorde to natasha is anything but a dig. to be honest, lorde hasn’t released anything close to peak natasha yet. but she’s also only, what, 24? so who cares
shes cited bands like s club as influences for this album since the beginning of the rollout so idk why people are surprised? s club is good lorde is also good
This era is absolutely not for me. Hope she finds some success and hopefully down the road she puts out something I can get into. Remember when we all thought this record was going to be dark, and have a climate change message in it…then we realized Solar Power wasn’t being facetious and this was the sound of the record. Love Jack, but please get him away from Lorde and St Vincent before he tries to produce another record for them.
stop blaming Jack for Lorde's music you don't like Lorde says it's 'sexist' and 'frankly insulting' how much credit people give Jack Antonoff for her music
give me a break, if jack didn't have an influence on how the record sounded he would just be credited as an engineer, not a producer
