Never listened to Pure Heroine outside of the singles, but I'm on my second listen to this album now and I'm definitely loving this. Green Light, Liability, Hard Feelings/Loveless, Supercut, Perfect Places are all among my initial standouts, but this is such a pleasant and engaging listen overall. I can't wait to listen to it more and to check out Pure Heroine sometime soon.
This clicked for me today -- enjoyed my first listen but wasn't loving it until now. Supercut is fucking unreal.
I've been drunk almost this entire weekend (baseball game, party, beer festival) and this has been a great soundtrack. Can't wait to listen to it Sober!
Sober II is my jam right now, love the Instrumentation on that one. Perfect Places is also, well, perfect. Oddly enough Supercut might be my least favorite right now.
I think The Louvre has officially eclipsed Buzzcut Season as my favorite Lorde song. I keep waiting for another song on here to eclipse it but it's still the highlight for me, although Writer in the Dark comes close.
I love this album so much that after 9+ playthroughs I still don't think I could accurately list a top 5. I sincerely think every song is great.
so i definitely like this but the lyrics are totally not my thing at all. similar way to what i feel about a lot of music in the similar headspace as this
As someone who wasn't really into Pure Heroine at all when it came out, this is a really great album. I even went back and revisited Pure Heroine and like it a lot more than I did previously, although this still easily tops it for me.
Okay. I think I've listened enough to feel good about this list. 10. Green Light 9. Perfect Places 8. Ribs 7. Liability 6. Team 5. Sober 4. Tennis Court 3. Writer in the Dark 2. Buzzcut Season 1. The Louvre
Presale for Chicago begins tomorrow morning, but I haven't received my code yet from the mailing list. Has anyone else gotten it yet?
Yea it's pretty easily my favorite I'd have to say. It's not repetitive when the hook is that good. She could sing it the whole album and I wouldn't complain.
Hmmm my two favorite albums of the year so far are Melodrama and Gone Now. Jack Antonoff is a serious x-factor in the Pop music game right now.
"Oh how fast the evening passes cleaning up the champaign glasses" is so engrained in my head today I don't know how many other thoughts I've had.
