I just like Googling stuff like "What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you reddit" and reading all the stories. Some of them are so great. "What's a secret you've never told anyone". Stuff like that.

 

i adore reddit, but i also use it for niche interests, which means the subs are less populated and better moderated

not quite, it's a coming of age film, but it's rated r and very real (in a nice way, handles stuff like high school drinking more realistically/non-cringey than any film i've ever seen)

i never cried at anything until i was around for the birth of my nephew. the ensuing next 5 only amplified my emotional availability lol.

applying for Masshealth is so freaking confusing. I won't get health care through work till feb and I am going to need my zoloft filled soon. I'm freaking out.

 

If any of you have not seen Dear Zachary, watch it, but do not look up anything about it or watch a trailer. It is best to go in blind. Oh, I also got emotional during Searching For Sugarman, another documentary, but that was because I was so elated with joy. That also is a documentary to go in blind. Thankfully I watched the trailer after I saw the movie because it spoils something huge.

 

Rudy and Field of Dreams make me every time.

i'm terrible at picking my health plan but i take like 4 rx meds so now i just get a plan with a drug copay lol

 

i did not know a single thing about Lady Bird before going to the theater. i knew it had buzz, that's it. i knew not one actor, plot snippet, genre, or rating. at any moment it could have turned into a crime drama and i'd have been none the wiser. the only thing i knew was that it was the best reviewed film on rotten tomatoes.

the first time i ever did this was at the last minute when a friend asked if i wanted to see moonrise kingdom years ago. it is now my absolute favorite way to consume film.

 

I try to go into a movie as blind as possible, but typically a trailer will be forced upon me or something like that. I also pretty actively seek out information on projects involving artists I like so I'm in a battle with myself haha. It really is a great way to do it though, no expectations. I can't think of the last movie I went into completely blind.

 

I've seen almost ALL the documentaries I think.

 

I visited the silk road a couple times in high school out of curiousity. Anything creepy you want to see you can find on the regular net. It's not scary though, it doesn't have anything you wouldn't expect it to have, and it's not like you go on there and there's just suddenly illegal content everywhere, you'd still have to go out of your way to find it.

 

for sure, 90% of the time it’s impossible. Lady Bird was a rare case of being my introduction to everyone involved other than Laurie Metcalf, so the buzz and details existed outside of the folks I follow
