dude, seriously. i am a poop scooping machine. Catit makes awesome stuff, i have a ginormous litter box from them with a roof that largely folds up for easy access and also a litter genie that makes it a breeze. scoop before my morning shower and after dinner, empty every two weeks, scrub once a month. the cats never ever make messes.

 

we're in a small apartment so we have three cats using one box. if i didn't do it every day (or every other day on occasion) we would all be dead from the smell and nastiness. it literally takes 3 minutes at most, i don't get it

I was in a liquor store on Saturday that smelled like 12 cats lived in it. It's a very particular smell. Reminded me of my old neighbors house, the Finlayson's.

 

And honestly it's not even absurdly gross to clean up, it's a smooth process

 

a dog has never told me happy birthday on a day that wasn't my birthday so

people don't know how unhealthy the average cat is. so many of them are dehydrated, like, all the time. common conception is that wet food is a "treat" of sorts, or junk food for cats. in reality a wet food-based diet is healthiest for them because it is a way for them to ingest water. i ran into an issue where, during the first year, my cats wouldn't drink ever. i would pour them fresh water, they'd get a hair in it, and it would be dead to them. i can't afford to switch to wet food only when the good dry food is already running me $30 a bag so i got them this Catit fountain and it has totally changed their health for the better.

awesome man, i'm glad. it is a pain to have to keep paying for filters but it's very worth it.

 

How fast do you go through filters?

 

i would say i go through one every month and a half. you can get 6-8 of them for <$20 so honestly it prob doesn't break $30 a year.
