Chase just left me at the bar and now im waiting for my friend so i can eat some goddamn Vietnamese at this food truck already, god dammit. Theres a wassail cider competition in the square tonight too. Wish it was all alcohol though. Thatd be more my speed. But normal will suffice too. Also im drinking cider (ugh gluten allergy) and it has a surpsingly high alcohol percentage at 7%

Brewery I work at made a hard cider last year because we want to keep one on at all times for people who don't like beer or have gluten allergies and the first batch came out at 9% and good lord was it good. Went down so easy.

 

Ive never bullied chase. Hush

 

I like cider but because i drink it a lot it starts to become very sweet to me. Theres a a brewery in Austin called eastciders and i mostly stick with it. They have a blood orange and hopped cider thats not as sweet. Having a gluten allergy sucks. I miss beer.

 

That's what I like about our ciders. We tend to use a dry french wine yeast which really eats up all the residual sugars and keeps the cider almost tart. Then, depending on what we fruit it with (since we do the ciders in 40 gallon batches, we burn through them pretty quickly, so we try to make each one different), it can be a nice mix of tart apples and (insert fruit here). The first one we made which was a straight hard cider and like 9% was my favorite, my second favorite was our dry hopped cider. It was the worst selling one we made, but had the best feedback from people who bought it.

 

Yeah what im having now is tart as hell and im super in to it. Too sweet i drink way too fast snd leaves me with a headache from sugar. Send me some of your cider lol

 

Haha, if we ever package it, I definitely will. I'm not keen on shipping growlers to people because I find that they leak easier which gets the package flagged and "destroyed" and they're also often heavier. If I'm sending a heavy beer package, I want it to be because it's a lot of different beers.

We are looking at canning our beer in the spring and I've got no problem shipping out beers to people here/the beer thread.

 

I disagree I've had way better buying experiences on eBay than Depop and Etsy. Haven't tried anywhere else tho. I think it's a bit silly to draw the line of the ethics of made in China at clothes on eBay, like what about the 800 dollar phones that people are getting paid pennies on the dollar to make. Tons of stuff comes from there.

 

i mean, i don't want to prude-shame but...

 

Most artist I know won't do them just because they don't want people regretting getting them. Plus knuckle tattoos tend to wear off easily if people don't take extremely good care of them too. Almost everyone I know with their knuckles done has had to get them touched up multiple times.
