I thought Daniel Day Lewis’ character in Phantom Thread was very similar to @dylan . There’s a scene where he is given a surprise dinner and he is not happy about it at all and claims he was ambushed. He then gets pissed that she made the asparagus with butter, and not with oil and salt which is how he likes it. Then he compliments himself for putting on such a good show at pretending to like the buttered asparagus

 

West coast are better than east coast. A good mignonette(vinager dressing) is also key to enjoying osyters.
