I would never vote for catfish as my favorite, but it's such an iconic dish down here and can be great. It was the only fish I ever had as a kid, until I was probably 12 or older

Halibut is the GOAT. Lobster is just an excuse to eat butter and not feel like a total piece of shit.

 

*dirty wet paper towel fish. i know it's not the best but I've still got a soft spot for good fried catfish. i wouldn't ever order it at a restaurant with better options but if my family does a fish fry i will almost always go

 

Catfish is great for fried fish.
