I'd trim Catfish. It's bottom tier seafood for me. And get rid of the ahi part of Tuna. Hamachi is just as good as ahi.

 

I'd argue that crawfish and catfish are more regional than Halibut. But we could do swordfish or sea bass if you think Halibut is the same way.

 

Oh and make it shrimp/prawns.

Pretty well actually, ate alot and the family we were at actually didn't mention politics so it was great. Felt like the weekend went by at a good pace too and not too fast so all in all, a good Thanksgiving.

Very true. I’ve only had halibut visiting my family in Ohio. I just know that crawfish seems to be one of those things people always try when they visit the south if they like seafood.

What about:

“Southern Specialties: Crawfish, Catfish, etc”
“Northern Specialties: Halibut, Walleye, etc”

This is a good idea. Might be a bit too complicated though. These categories are tough.

Removing catfish or crawfish for the folks in the south would be as big of a mistake as removing shrimp. It's that big of a deal

But seriously. Chilean Sea Bass will change your life. Treat yourself some time.

 

I mean, the fish is good, stone crabs are great, but the mollusks are not nearly as good.

Call me crazy, but I think it's overrated. Give me that Alaskan Halibut.

 

What they can do with smoked salmon in Europe is worth the airfare alone tbh
