I'm hoping to buy them online Thursday morning. There's no way I'll be able to get into Best Buy/Target/Walmart before work.

My main thing is wanting a Fire Stick for $25. Best Buy and Target are both doing it, so I'm hoping Amazon undercuts them.

I'm needing some camping gear. I'm definitely not gonna be looking on Thursday for that though. Not worth it

I've been out of retail for 3 years now but I still feel memories of all that anxiety I felt from back then every time i hear the words black friday. I'll be sending thoughts and prayers to you @Garrett L.

i imagine the Black Friday line at Gamestop is going to be very pleasant lol

 

i don't really have anxiety about the day. i'm mostly worried about getting up at 5am for work tuesday and wednesday and then working until 5am on thursday. just...doesn't seem very safe. and i'm not exactly the type who can sleep through the "oh shit i should be on my way to work" feeling on my day off. (i woke up at 6:30 in a panic the last six days off i've had)

 

if the people attacking the video game stands at walmart or target are any indication, this is going to be quite the shock for you

 

believe me, that was sarcastic haha. fully anticipating a line of impatient dudes with limited social skills

 

the last black friday i worked was the day after i found out my ex fiance cheated on me so it was a really bad day for me. i made it 2 hours into the day, told them i was taking a quick break, went to sit out in my car, ended up passed out from the anxiety/depression and woke up 3 hours later at like 11 am and texted them i was just gonna go home.

 

my local gamestop has always been surprisingly organized/well behaved on black friday and easy to get whatever i want, at least way better than the nightmare of big box stores.

i'm weird in that i like working black friday* because those monster shifts go by so quickly

*i have only worked black friday in management roles and it greatly changes how the day goes for you
