There probably isn’t an answer to this, but what the fuck is it about famous musicians/entertainers preying on those who are underage? Is it just cause they think they can and get away with it? I mean, it must be some sort of power thing I suppose, but this seems to be a ubiquitous problem in the entertainment industry. It’s not like Jesse Lacey couldn’t get with women who are of age, ya know? You have to go out of your way to seek out someone so young.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this

 

I know there’s not really an answer to, “why are people fucked ?” But this issue of, not just sexual misconduct, but sexual misconduct with minors and predatory behavior, seems to be especially common in the entertainment industry. Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but it’s equally deplorable and disheartening.

 

Oh man just read about the brand new stuff. Unfortunately it’s unsurprising. Your Favorite Weapon, like all the pop punk from that era, is filled with entitled possessive lyrical content. To be honest, when I look back at all the music I loved from 99-2004, I just have to assume someone in each band I used to listen to a used their popularity and power in a manner such as this. Awful awful stuff.

 

I think it’s common in society at large, but most people don’t have a following or fame to bring attention to it. That’s the type of society we’ve built unfortunately.

 

I hate when I have somewhere to go on a Saturday. I just want to eat and watch movies and sleep.
