I just didn't connect with it or get any sort of enjoyment from it at all as a kid, nor do I now. to me it felt like the beginning of the end for the great Nickelodeon cartoon, and in many ways: it was. I didn't like Rocket Power or The Wild Thornberrys, I thought Spongebob was great, Angry Beavers was pretty good. but most of those shows are gone now and didn't last too long to begin with, and where are we now? I get sad when I think about it

 

I'm liking this post even though your disliking Rocket Power and Wild Thornberrys hurts me a bit haha, as far as the current stuff I can't really say, would I like it if I was a kid who knows

 

if you like those shows then I'm really just jealous that you got something out of them that I didn't

 

That Invader Zim show, wow, I hated.

 

All the Nick shows mentioned we're sick, including Invader Zim.

Scene kids kinda ruined a few of those tho

 

Recess was the last kids cartoon i enjoyed, I think.

 

I like adventure time more as an adult than any of the cartoons i watched as a kid

 

the finale for that will def make me cry

 

I just generally find adults talking about how they don't like cartoons kinda dull, like I can't imagine anything I care less about than an adult dude being like "I think Frozen is dumb" who gives a fuck it ain't for you

 

i love animation

 

i spent my morning watching Dragon Ball Super and Downton Abbey so im probably an unusual case

 

me too, like The Simpsons is probably my favorite show but I see it as a different entity than sitcoms because it's a cartoon and that's dumb on my end

 

was there any point when you were into video games, ian? feel like you’d appreciate/like a lot of them

 

not really, like I played Sonic The Hedgehog and Mario Kart and stuff but I get bored too easily and too easily frustrated to play video games, plus they cost money

 

yeah money is the worst part. i spend $60-100 a month on average and i really shouldn’t.

 

I got this cheap lil game called Getting Over It and holy shit it's the most frustrating game I've ever played.

 

I for some reason separate animated movies from cartoons in my mind and I dont know why. Love animated movies (as much as a non-movie person can, I suppose).

Also getting over it looks like torture to play for very little reason.

 

I hope this isn't directed at me because I didn't even want to talk about that
