not really sure what you listen to and my recs are going to be all comedy but:

backing up @dadbolt on his first four (don't listen to movie crush). comedy bang bang in particular is essential. hollywood handbook is a bit...out there and requires a little time to get into the boys' characters but it's consistently the funniest podcast for me. doughboys is excellent. not ongoing but listen to every episode of u talkin' u2 to me? for the greatest thing in the world. spontaneanation and superego are also wonderful because of my previously mentioned love for PFT.

This sounds fantastic. I feel so daunted by the # of episodes in their backlog for MBMBAM though

 

Hmm. Well, I feel like a few of the podcasts I listen to have a large backlog and history so it’s hard to just jump into, but if you like to learn then I highly suggest Radiolab, This American Life, and Ted Radio Hour.

Some of my favorite Radiolab episodes: Double Blasted, Fu-Go, and The Bad Show. Very well produced and incredibly insightful.

 

In terms of gender and race? I get it Maria, Chelsea, and Sarah Silverman are like the only female comedians I've seen headline; I try to make a conscious effort to at least be aware

 

I really kinda can't stand Sarah Silverman

i jumped into CBB 4 years ago or so just on whatever the newest ep was at that time, and a year or two ago i actually went back and listened from the beginning. every ep, live ep, best of. it was a fucking trip.

i like sarah a lot. her hulu show is very good too.

 

she's had jokes I like, but few and far between, unfortunately.

 

I like Silverman alot any time shes in something, which is rare.

Lol it’s okay I still don’t think chase understands the logistics cause it’s not like a traditional job so it is interesting and prompts questions. We do traditional estates in which we have sales reps that assess the general value. We do not do like most traditional estates where they have people come into home on weekends and pick out what they want and sell everything. We only focus on high value and it’s an online marketplace. They are photographed professionally and auctioned. We come into peoples homes and using our knowledge, we have to pick things out that are of value. Yes, I’ve worked in storage units, garages, shacks to multimillion dollar homes. I think the highest profile sale I’ve done is someone that’s part of Mary Kay family was selling stuff. It made a shit to of money. It depends really. We also do work in consignment so we work with antique and art dealers and people who have businesses and want to unload inventory.
