Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a top-3 Star Wars game of all time, up there with KOTOR 1 and OG Battlefront 2 (with Rogue Squadron 2 and Episode 1 Racer rounding out the top 5)

I also loved Jedi Academy. The Episode 3 game. Jedi Power Battles too. I never played rogue squadron 2. The first one was awesome though. X-Wing vs Tie Fighter was great too. I loved Galaxies as well. Especially the Jump to Lightspeed expansion.

 

I have like 200 law books in my car that my work wanted me to drop off at the downtown library. I have no idea how I’m gonna do this, haha. There’s no way to park close and I can only carry about 5 at a time

Shadow of the Empire was also great, as were Rogue Squadron 1 and OG Battlefront 1. KOTOR 2 was also real good, although I never finished it.

 

I never got into KOTOR, too slow for me but I know people loved it. Shadows of the Empire was great. I always hated battlefront. Going from Battlefront 1942 to the Star Wars one was like going from Grand Theft Auto 3 to 2.

 

Ahhhhh. Damn, I thought those were homeless people all along.

I liked Battlefront but was definitely a huge downgrade over the large scale multiplayer shooters at the time (aka Battlefield). It absolutely coasts by on the Star Wars license.

 

I wonder when we'll see another good Star Wars game. Maybe never? haha

 

Umm I enjoyed Force Unleashed

That's the only one I've played besides Podracing

 

By most accounts Old Republic is...fine for an MMO, though I didn't really love my time with it. I'm at least sort of curious to see what Respawn does with their Star Wars game because I think Titanfall is fun, but I'm not exactly getting my hopes up for the sort of late 90s, early 00s quality and quantity of games. I'd be happy with any sort of space sim, though, really. Probably harder to fuck that up than it is a shooter. With today's gaming climate (and EA seemingly having a stranglehold on the license) we're probably past the point of a single player RPG or story driven adventure game.

 

god, i truly am not sure if we will get one single AAA Star Wars game not named Battlefront until Episode IX is out

 

I should have specified a FPS. I just want another game like outcast or academy... but new. Lightsabers & guns. Traveling the galaxy. Visiting iconic destinations.

I'd take another game like rogue squadron too.

I've heard similar good things about the Old Republic, but I don't have a gaming PC anymore so I've never gotten the chance to play it.
