Me and my friend were watching Ernest Scared Stupid last night, high laughing at how the humor and movies in general were made when we were growing up.

why would you try talking to your uber driver? that's a conversation free social interaction. neither of you should be trying to talk to the other

lol never used uber but to be fair i would expect to sit in the back and the only convo being "hello, how are you? where to?" etc type, if something sparks up itd be just by chance or off the music played, etc. trying to talk is never a thought, feels awkward lol

If I'm riding alone I almost always sit in the front and talk to my drivers, I've had some amazing conversations and made friends from it

 

When I was doing Uber I didn't mind some friendly conversation, but I of course never initiated it. A few people were dicks that I wished would shut up

 

perhaps im just not a social person, ill admit to that, had a girl have to point out to me some dude at a restaurant was suggesting food hed make me one time, thought he was talking to anyone else, just stood there clueless lol.

 

it is neither surprising that Jacob would chat up an Uber driver or that this notion would make Dylan recoil, I'm with Dylan I hate small talk, I'd pay twice as much for anything if small talk could be taken out of the equation

 

the customers that dont realize theyre talking to much at any job is the worse.
literally had a lady call my job to pay a bill, ask if i was authorized (like I wasnt at the number she called), and literally took minutes to tell me how she can never find a working pen, how shes gone through this that and the third and just wants a pen that works "do you know what thats like?"
that RIGHT AFTER a customer who had to ask EVERY QUESTION (even if answered) and even when told no they wanted to inspect to make sure they were more right than corporate standards. That day made me wanna headbutt a brick wall till either the wall or I break down lol.

 

I'm horrible at small talk but occasionally people more social than me make it worthwhile
