Damn I remember being just mesmorized by first hearing "Take It Upstairs, Einstein" spent a lot of walks to class listening to that album. Feels like forever ago! Can't wait!
"My Superman..." is my SOTY. This whole album is amazing, never heard their old stuff too. Totally blown away.
thanks for those recs! I will defiantly check those out after I spin this a bunch more times. This could seriously end up being my AOTY. I am so in love with this right now.
These guys put on such a fun show when I saw them with Lydia a few years back. They were the highlight of the evening tbh much better performance than Lydia. They got the whole audience jumping by the end of their set
I really love the instrumentation on this but I feel like the vocals are a little too much in the background and I wish they were in the forefront a bit more. Other than that the album is beautiful!
the vocals do occasionally sink under but it's not that drastic, I feel like the stream is probably making it worse.
the album is up on bandcamp for download. The only song I feel they really buried to point where I can't understand them is the spoken word on My Superman seat... which was 100% a conscious and stylistic decision that works well for the song.
I feel like I am the one weirdo who likes his snare drums mixed SUPER high. I want every albums drums to sound like they do on harmlessness.
