Re-watched this and still can’t get over some of the amazing music queues. Frank ocean, big thief, caribou, the cure, and Bruce all used super well, plus Boyz II Men obviously.

Charlize oozes charisma and her chemistry with Seth is really good. Feels different from some of the other “hot girl falls for Seth Rogan” roles we’ve seen before.

 

Yeah this movie snuck into my top 5 of the year I think. I still need to see a couple that will likely knock it out though (Star Wars, Uncut Gems, Marriage Story, maybe Dolemite)

Watched this last night. Loved the tv actors into film joke, I tried coming up with names after that and there really are only a few. Also, O'Shea Jackson really stole every scene he was in. I'd like to see more of him.

surprisingly good dramatic turn in just mercy also

 

Yeah he has a bright future, and honestly the more I see of him the less I think he looks like his dad

 

a really nice piece on the film that's good at underscoring why i seemed to like this more than others

Long Shot is one of the best romantic comedies in years
