oh…that’s lame. really hope others fests don’t pivot to this. Anything under 75 minutes for a headliner is a joke. If you only have one album maybe you shouldn’t be in that slot if you can’t throw in some b-sides/covers/etc to deliver a real show.
I mean Jennie only has one album as a solo artist, and is Headliner B. The top 4 headlining sets are actually as a whole improved from last year. That stage usually goes over by 10-15 minutes, but Sabrina and Tyler the Creator both started at 9 last year. 8:40 is the latest this year
Ethel with Ella is cool but I'm not dealing with that fanbase at a Metro show. But yeah, might be the first time in a while I skip aftershows.
I think I'll try to hit up Wet Leg since it'll be easier on Wednesday. I've been wanting to see them and their slot at the fest sucks. Will also go to The Story So Far. Tempted to go to Water From Your Eyes on Sunday just for kicks since I live very close to the Empty Bottle, but I know I'd probably regret. Would love to do Not For Radio or Ethel, but won't for the same reason as @bradpetrik (and also because usually going to Metro aftershows straight from the fest means getting stuck in the back and not being able to really see.)
Would they not indicate there's an unannounced Metro show on that schedule like they did with that Salt Shed one? Also who're we thinking for ????? @ shed?
My friend managed to get Ethel tickets, I will report back on how insufferable the room is (I'm excited regardless)
