Likely July 31 - August 3 in Grant Park, Chicago, IL.

Might as well start the thread.

My best idea of top 8 right now:

Olivia Rodrigo / Doja Cat / twenty one pilots ? / Justin Timerlake or Katy Perry ?
Charli XCX / Rufus Du Sol / Rauw Alejandro / Glass Animals or Vampire Weekend?

Rufus is practically a lock based on their tour. Katy I'm only saying since she has the Canadian tour where she'd be close to Chicago during Lolla but who knows. I have no evidence for Doja but it just seems like it makes too much sense to not happen. Not sure if top still has the pull for this, but I also don't know who else could be the rock headliner.

I don't see Charli happening with that late April Rosemont date.

Is Rufus not a proper headliner at this point? They're playing a college football stadium in LA.

I wouldn't dispute Rufus in top 4, prob should be there tbh.

I feel like Charli being at Allstate almost makes her more likely, but maybe just my own bias cus I'm not trying to got to Rosemont. Plus it's already sold out. I feel like the demand would be there to see her at Lolla too. Maybe more wishful thinking than anything though.

While it's right on the edge of the date blackout, I've also heard that AEG may have an exclusivity on her festival appearances.

That could be. I do feel like Lolla tends to get pop stars at the tail end of their album cycles, which is why I suspect Doja could be on the lineup this year. So maybe next year, although it's Charli so it's pretty likely she'll have something new out by then.

Honestly, I'm just bummed because as a long time fan (albeit pretty casual but enough that I've made it a point to see her several times over the years), it kind of sucks to be priced out of this album cycle.

  8. Haven't done Lolla in a long time but if the Olivia Rodrigo speculation is right then I'll make it happen.

I’d be very surprised if they do both.

Lolla is their home turf that they claim is their favorite festival and a place for them to play for their fans at an affordable price. Oasis fanbase isnt the typical CTE fanbase. I figure you cant turn down a chance to open for Oasis but they can double back and play lolla for their actual fanbase. they have played the fest 5 times already.

quite a few examples of big artists who have opened shows in chicago within a month of lolla and still played or even headlined.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

I think Cage opening for Oasis allows them to do both. Soldier Field is sold out into oblivion and I guarantee the vast majority of the reasoning wasn't for Cage, so it'd give Cage the Elephant fans an opportunity to see them if they didn't luck out with getting Oasis tickets.
