Headliners worked out really well for me. Only one that'll be hard is 1975 vs Kendrick. I skipped 1975 when they came here in December and most my friends will probably go there, but Kendrick has been bucket list for a while. Feel like I'll probably have to take the opportunity to see him
Sooo…1975 at the Metro on Thursday? This being the same weekend as Boygenius at Red Rocks is a war crime.
Sunday headliners are interesting. Closing out your four day festival with someone who strikes me as boring, but still very good presumably - LDR - and a band who hasn't been super relevant in, what, a decade or more? Like I know they're still big but Kendrick or even TxT would have been a big way to end the weekend.
Yeah no offense to Odesza or TxT but I feel those are the two weakest headliners and putting them on Saturday was not the right move. By weakest, I mean least popular. I feel like you’d want at least one heavyweight on Saturday.
Personally stoked on Saturday night Odesza and Sunday Lana. I will basically get a little more excited for the headliner every day (well unless Billie drops anything new then I'll be a lot more excited for her)
That’s why it is the right move. Saturday will have the highest attendance on the sole fact that it’s a Saturday. Might as well put your smallest headliners that day and get people in the gates the other days.
Had a feeling Kendrick/ The 1975 would pair together. My Top 3 for each day: Thursday 1. Spacey Jane 2. Portugal the Man 3. Billie Friday 1. Kendrick 2. Fred Again (unless playing the same time as Kendrick) 3. Foals Saturday 1. Odesza 2. Maggie Rogers 3. The Revivalists Sunday 1. RHCP 2. Mt. Joy 3. Joey Bada$$
Paramore adding this Milwaukee show days before Lolla has me thinking maybe they really were in talks to play at one point and it just didn't work out? Would make sense if a radius clause was stopping them from adding a show there and now they've decided to go for it. I know plenty of artists have played Milwaukee and Lolla in the same week, but being this is an arena show I feel like that's not as common. I can't think of why else they would be announcing this show separate.
Yeah the Milwaukee show makes me think they were in play. I wonder if them being in play means Riot Fest didn’t book them? But they apparently said at their Chicago Theatre show last year they were coming back to Chicago, but maybe that was when they were still in play for Lolla?
With the schedule and price increase coming today they updated the layaway. 50% down payment is now needed
First of all, that the schedule is out is crazy. Happy Sincere Engineer is getting an hour. 1975 vs Knocked Loose might annoy some people.
I am still very much underwhelmed by this lineup, but the Kendrick/1975/Knocked Loose conflict is, as mentioned above, just so stupid.
Nothing too bad that I wasn't already anticipating. Honestly pretty happy, and I'm enjoying the lineup more with how it's laid out. We obviously knew 1975 & Kendrick would conflict, in all honesty Knocked Loose makes a lot of sense to put there, but I get why y'all are upset.
