Looks like they moved the fest back a week likely because of NASCAR coming here next year.

Lolla is almost always the first weekend that has an august date, with the only exception being years like this one where the 31st lands on a Sunday

woke up i'm in the in-between honey

This was my first Lolla and I had a blast! I admittedly got pulled in by j-hope but ended up going on Saturday also and loved wandering the grounds and exploring! Was psyched to catch Dashboard too, hadn't seen them in a minute! I loved wandering to BMI for some shade and tunes. Getting to experience Perry's was an adventure!

This year was a lot of fun, one of my favorite Lolla's honestly. Not necessarily because of the line up but it felt like everyone was in a good mood and (mostly) respectful. Didn't run into any major issues and just had a blast with my friends. Kind of nice that the lineup had enough to keep me interested but not so much that I felt like I had to run around the park like a maniac. Capping it off with the Turnstile aftershow which I was able to get a ticket to last minute was the perfect ending.

Ehhh, I don't think the Foo Fighters are way bigger than Green Day, in fact I think Green Day is more popular than the Foo Fighters. It's not a perfect quantifier by any means, but for example, Green Day has 20.6 mil monthly Spotify listeners and Foo Fighters have 15.5 mil.

With the new deal that was Announced yesterday to keep lolla in Chicago for another 10-15 years, the daily caps will increase from 100k to 115k.

Foo Fighters are definitely a bigger concert draw than Green Day. They play stadiums on their own whereas Green Day, at least in North America, need to co-headline to fill stadiums. The Spotify stats are probably bigger for Green Day since their audience skews younger and younger listeners are more apt to use streaming platforms.

The radio revolution tour for Green Day was a stadium tour support was catfish and the bottlemen or whatever they are called. Chicago either sold out or was very close to selling out so…. But yeah foo fighters sold out wrigley the last idk how many times they’ve played there every time

They did stadiums in 2-3 cities but otherwise it was an amphitheater tour with some smaller markets struggling.

Spotify listeners really isn't the best gauge. It just tells you which group has songs that may reach beyond their fanbase. "Good Riddance" is played at middle school graduations and such, I don't think Foo Fighters has a song that has that kind of reach, so that would greatly skew those kind of numbers.
